Led by Joe Towne and Eric Hunicutt, this THREE DAY COURSE is an introduction to training our mindset around all aspects of PERFORMANCE. We will unpack together what it takes to have mental toughness as an artist in this industry. We will explore practices that elite artists and athletes are doing to work outside their COMFORT ZONES, transform their relationship to NERVES, cultivate both GRIT & RESILIENCY, and illuminate the current level of HEAD NOISE during their performances.

High performers know that MINDSET IS EVERYTHING when performing on the world stage.

MORE ABOUT THE INTRO TO MINDSET WEEKEND + FAQs:
WHAT IS IT, EXACTLY?
Our intro to MINDSET course for PERFORMERS is a THREE DAY intensive workshop where you will learn the tools to guide and train your MINDSET around all aspects of PERFORMANCE including: processing feedback from the outside world, TRANSFORMING OUR RELATIONSHIP to nerves, MINDFULNESS training, HOW TO DEAL WITH negative self-talk and EXERCISES FOR building confidence + more.
WHAT WILL YOU  BE ADDRESSING?
* A snapshot of what makes up your current working mindset and how it shows up (before, during and after a performance.)
* The most optimal state of performance possible (one which athletes and artists alike seek to experience)
* New ways to think about performance to address where we get tripped up on our artists journeys.
* Deliberate practice habits and how we can work at our edge of growth.
* What is working for you and what you may want to leave behind as you refresh your process moving forward.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

An ACTOR’S MINDSET is one of the MOST CRUCIAL and most neglected area of preparation when preparing for an audition.

Our MINDSET affects our motivation, confidence, anxiety and nerves and influences EVERY facet of our performance.
We are not an acting class. We have specifically designed a program to complimentelevate, and amplify what’s working, using your existing technique.
CAN YOU TELL ME A LITTLE MORE ABOUT WHAT I WILL EXPERIENCE?
Our workshop are about gaining insight into your PERFORMANCE under THE PRESSURE OF AN AUDITION and the UNKNOWN. Everything we do during our time working together is scientifically based. In our workshop you will start working in ways that are familiar to you, which gives us a snapshot of your current mindset. You will then be introduced to elements to show what happens to you personally when the “pressure” of an audition or the unknown increases the ways our mind and body react offers us insight and valuable information. You are taught practical tools to help navigate the unknown and uncontrollable aspects of our craft (and profession!)
WHAT DO YOU SEE FROM PEOPLE WHO DO THIS WORK?
Repeatedly we see Actors gain confidence as they begin to cultivate a personal way of working that is repeatable, reliable, and most of all – focused on continual and consistent improvement over time (aka Growth Mindset)
WE BELIEVE MINDSET IS THE KEY TO:
* Unlock your creativity
* Strengthen your confidence
* Give you a competitive edge
* Be present to what is  actually happening, moment to moment
* Set yourself up for success, now and in the future.
