ABOUT THE TEACHERS:

Erica S. Bream: After 17 years in the Los Angeles market, Erica S. Bream, CSA now resides in the Southeast, covering projects in North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee and beyond.

In her twenty-three years as a Casting professional, Erica has worked on projects across all mediums, providing Casting
services on titles such as ECHOES (Netflix), DOLLY PARTON’S MOUNTAIN MAGIC CHRISTMAS (NBC), THE WINCHESTERS (CW), ALTERED CARBON (Netflix), STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS (Paramount), 11:22.63 (Hulu), PANHANDLE (Spectrum) and many others. Additionally, Erica has co-cast fifteen seasons of the prestigious Young Playwrights Festival for The Blank Theatre Company.

Over the years, Bream’s work in theatre, short film and television casting has garnered her nine Artios nominations and a win in the Los Angeles Theatre category.

Most importantly, she is Mom to two amazing boys, who both seem to love the spotlight.

Amanda Lenker Doyle: Amanda is a self proclaimed treasure hunter. Obsessed with all things shimmery and bright, she has dedicated her life to the hunt for gems, jewels…and actors.

An award winning Casting Director, Amanda has been working in film and television casting for almost 20 years. In 2022, her short film PLEASE HOLD was nominated for an Academy Award in the Live Action Short Film category! Some additional favorite credits to date include R#J (a Romeo & Juliet story) which swept Sundance and SXSW in 2021, film WE BROKE UP streaming now on Hulu, BLACK-ISH & THE MUPPETS for ABC, ZAC & MIA for Netflix and WAYNE streaming now on Amazon Prime.

In addition to working as an independent Casting Director, Amanda is also a burgeoning metalsmith and artist. She is an active volunteer in her local arts community having served as the Treasurer and as an Executive Board Member of the Casting Society (of America) for 7 years and now serving on the boards of Metal Arts Guild of Georgia (MAGG) and the Marietta City Arts Council.

A connector-of-artists in all aspects of her creative life, Amanda believes that every actor should have an opportunity to shine — and she can't wait to see what beautiful gems she digs up.

 

Joe Towne: Joe  is an award winning actor-writer and performance coach. He’s been teaching actors for nearly two decades -some of whom are selling that product you just bought or starring in that movie you watched on Netflix last night. He’s taught and coached acting at one of the top studios in Hollywood, where he co-created an innovative audition technique program designed to help professionals perform at their best when it counts. Joe authored a book about how our inner reality impacts our outer experience.

As the CEO and Co-Founder of The Performer’s Mindset, Joe has taught at Universities such as USC and UCLA, George Brown College and Vancouver Film Schools in Canada, at Lehman College in NYC and at SCAD in both Atlanta and Savannah over the past five years. He most recently brought Mindset training to students at the Sorbonne in Paris.

Joe has appeared on Ryan Seacrest, Dr Oz and Good Day LA. He has appeared on podcasts from Audrey Helps Actors and That One Audition to The Way of Champions and the Tennis Channel. His work with High School Quarterbacks at the Elite 11 Camp in Los Angeles, ended up being featured on NFL.COM. Joe is also the creator and host of the BETTER Podcast - a show “inspiring us to do better... conversations that help us individually and collectively develop healthier relationships with our mind, our craft, and the world” - where he interviews guests such as actor/activist Malcolm-Jamal Warner, animator/director Lino DiSalvo, Ted Lasso producer Liza Katzer, and author/speaker Kevin Carroll.
