ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:

John Hindman is a writer/director whose script The Dream of the Romans was included on Hollywood’s famous Black List. He is the writer and director of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize Nominee The Answer Man starring Jeff Daniels and Lauren Graham. His 2019 film The Passing Parade won multiple prizes at festivals, was the opening night Film at The Boston Film Festival, and is now available on all platforms. John’s screenplay “Unstoppable”is being produced by Dwayne Johnson and Seven Bucks Productions. His most recent script “Savage” is set to be directed by William Goldenberg (Argo, Gone Baby Gone, Zero Dark Thirty). He has written for studios, producers, as well as television as a staff writer for NBC/ Universal’s sitcom “Bad Judge”for Gary Sanchez Productions. John was also one of the directors of the ground breaking “Noir Series” which was the first Los Angeles theatrical production to be live streamed globally.Theatrically, John has directed multiple award-winning productions including David Auburn’s“Proof” and Beth Henley’s “Crimes of the Heart”as well as Cyndy Lou Johnson’s “Brilliant Traces” and “Dusk Rings a Bell”by Stephen Belber. His re-imagining of Rajiv Jospeh’s “Gruesome Playground Injuries”was a commercial and critical success. In 2019 John directed the world premiere of John Patrick Shanley “Our Fantasia”. John was also one of the directors of the ground breaking “Noir Series” which was the first Los Angeles theatrical production to be live streamed globally. He is the founder of the John Hindman Studio in Hollywood.

Joe Towne is an award-winning writer and director who got his degree in Acting from the University of Southern California. He’s been a coach for the past two decades helping businesses and performers –some of whom are selling that product you just bought or starring in that movie you Netflixed last night. This work compelled him to write a book about how our inner reality affects our outer experience, which led him to be a guest on the Dr. Oz show. As an actor he has worked with people like Jennifer Love Hewitt and Hillary Swank and you can see him opposite Rebel Wilson in Isn’t It Romantic, which is now available on iTunes. Before creating The Performers Mindset Joe spent years as an acting coach at one of the top studios in Hollywood where he co-created their audition technique program. He works with professional actors and athletes, as they transition from their sport into the entertainment industry. He also works with corporations bringing Mindset into practice in the workplace. The Performers Mindset program has been in Los Angeles (both independently and at The Aquila School), at USC, UCLA, the Vancouver Film School and George Brown College. His collaboration with Casting Workbook continues to bring coaching, workshops and compelling conversations to artists across the globe.
