Description
The Art of Pitching: Doing it Better than you’ve done before
Description
You have to pitch yourself, it’s part of your job.
There will be times you’re seeking new representation, there will be times when you’re trying to get placed in nationally syndicated publications and talk shows for a new project you are promoting. And if you’re trying to sell your book, your film or your TV show, you will absolutely be called to pitch to those who decide whether it moves forward.
Do you know the different between your elevator pitch and your full presentation and how they’re connected?
Do you know the four essential questions every decision maker is asking themselves, whether or not they’re ever communicated to you?
Do you know how to be adaptable when the pitch goes differently than when it happened in your head?
Workshop Overview
In this intensive afternoon workshop, we’ll dive deep into the art and science of pitching. We’ll address the uncomfortable topics that keep talented individuals from landing their pitches when it counts.
We’ll address:
- Fear of rejection and lack of confidence in self-promotion
- Uncertainty about industry expectations and pitch meeting etiquette
- Difficulty in articulating long-term potential in a brief encounter
- Balancing authenticity with effective self-promotion
- The struggle to read the room and adjust your pitch on the fly
The Separation is in the Preparation. But Preparation may not be what you’ve always thought it was.
This workshop offers insider knowledge and practical techniques you won’t find elsewhere.
In order to get things you’ve never got, you must prepare to do things you’ve never done.
